Dogs

OUR APPROACH

We’ll get your dog’s tail wagging.

A dog is a man’s best friend, and we understand this as dog owners ourselves. Our vets have many years of experience (centuries in “dog years”) between them, but that doesn’t stop them learning new tricks either. They’re well prepared with equipment such as digital radiography, ultrasound and a surgical suite to make sure your pet gets the best care.

It all starts from day one when your furry friend is just a young pup. Puppy’s are susceptible to lots of nasties, so vaccinations are important. Microchipping means your pet can be returned to you should they go for a wander. Join our puppy pre-school to start on the right paw with behaviour and training. When it comes time to de-sex, we ensure the operation and recovery is as smooth as possible.

During the course of their life, you’ll need to make sure your pooch has regular health check-ups along with booster vaccinations and regular flea and worming control. If you pet has chronic diseases such as arthritis, frequent monitoring is essential. Our friendly staff can also provide care advice in areas such as nutrition and dental health.

Accidents happen and pets get sick, but we’re here 24/7 to provide emergency and medical care. Taking out pet insurance means costs don’t become a barrier. Should you dog need to stay the day or overnight, we have a dedicated kennels and nursing staff to ensure they feel right at home.

From tiny Chihuahuas to giant Great Danes, a new puppy to an old mutt, we see them all. Feel free to book an appointment with one of our vets to ensure your dog is fighting fit.

Farm and Working Dogs

Farm dogs are just as much a member of your staff as your workers. They can be a critical part to a smooth operation and need to be in tip top condition for as long as possible.

We’ve been working with farm dogs for as long as we’ve been with you and your stock, building up experience in preventative healthcare and nutrition, as well as how to combat common injuries and health conditions such as osteoarthritis.

We also offer a worming programme, sending worm tablets directly to your letterbox every 3 months, ensuring your loyal workers stay intestinal worm free.

PUPPY PRE-SCHOOL

Get your puppy off with the right paw with Puppy Pre-School.

Puppy preschool is the beginning of an exciting relationship with your new puppy. This course is to lay down a good foundation for learning; both for your puppy and yourself.
