Jackie Davies

Jackie is a mixed animal veterinarian, who grew up not far away in Paeroa. She graduated in 2004 from Massey University, working in a variety of mixed practices in the Waikato and King Country. She has also worked in the UK, so has experienced a wide range of farming systems. Jackie still enjoys the variety of mixed practice, both getting out on the farms, and small animal medicine cases.

When not at work Jackie is busy looking after her young daughter or running with the dogs, she enjoys squash, gardening and the great outdoors, including white water kayaking.

Veterinarian

Vivienne Judd

Veterinarian

Vivienne Judd

Viv is a 2007 Massey graduate, who initially worked in a mixed-practice in Greymouth, before heading north. Her biggest interest is in dairy cattle medicine and small animal medicine and surgery. She finds there is a bit less travelling here, as, on the West Coast, farms could be hours away, miles up dead-end valleys. There is also a bit less snow (actually she hasn’t seen any here yet!) and the sandflies aren’t as big.

When not working, Viv enjoys spending time with her wonderful family. If she gets any spare time she tries to get out in the great outdoors on her mountain bike.

His primary interest is dairy cattle production medicine and has attended extensive post-graduate courses in many subjects including dairy cattle reproduction, mastitis, mineral nutrition and nutrition.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys open water swimming, boating, mountain-biking and his spending time with his family.

In 1988 he joined Vet Clinic Morrinsville and has been here ever since, apart from a year-long sabbatical working as a vet in England.

He has special interests in dairy cattle production medicine and dairy goat medicine. He has experience in nutrition, fertilisers, early ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis and mastitis troubleshooting. David is one of only a handful of people who can accurately perform early foetal sexing in cattle.
