You may recognise Lisa as she has been a familiar face in our Morrinsville clinic for a while now. She stepped into the exciting role as Practice Manager last year and we thought this would be a great opportunity to catch up and find out a little more about Lisa.
Tell us about your background.
When leaving school I started in retail and hospitality, met my husband 26 years ago and went farming for 25 years. Most of that time farming we were self-employed, alongside farming I owned a business. I have also studied and I am a massage therapist and a swimming coach too! I have 2 adult children and a grandson who is 10months old.
What is your role at VCM and what does it entail?
My role at VCM is practice manager, it entails the smooth running of the clinic, implementing new ideas, supporting the staff and making sure everything is tickety boo.
What does a perfect weekend look like to you?
My perfect weekend would be a number of things as I am an active relaxer, so it would involve doing an activity near water, or going for a hike and then in the evening enjoying a nice meal out with friends and then venturing off to go dancing.
A goal for 2022?
Wow, I have a number of goals for this year. However, two of them are (if we don't go into another lockdown and COVID behaves itself) I would like to compete at our Rock n Roll National Dance Competition and I would love to learn to paddleboard.
